About Bloemendaal
Bloemendaal, a small town simply predestined to the residence of the Elite.
Bloemendaal has around 16.000 inhabitants only, and is located in the north-west Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The borough covers an area of 43.29 kmē, (of which 5.36 kmē are water. Its distance to the very centre of Amsterdam (Dam) is 23 km and about half an hour in a car, and the distance between the proposed house and the local Bloemendaal train station is less than 500m, on the train line to close-by Haarlem.
Due to a much privileged and very calm location close to the sea and a highly green environment, it is the preferred residence site of the elite of North Holland. It hosts, for example, top private cricket and hockey clubs, as well as a Guide Michelin star crowned restaurant, and is ranked the top Dutch town with respect to per capita income. As a matter of fact, although situated in the immediate vicinity of Amsterdam, Bloemendaal has dunes, woods, excellent cycling and walking trails in mostly birch wood and marshy area under the protection of the National Park Zuid-Kennemerland. Culture and nature are uniquely combined in its famed open-air theatre. Bloemendaal aan Zee offers the most favourable Dutch beaches and hosts events and top artists live performances.
