About Bloemendaal Bloemendaal, a small town simply predestined to the residence of the Elite. Bloemendaal has around 16.000 inhabitants only, and is located in the north-west Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The borough covers an area of 43.29 kmē, (of which 5.36 kmē are water. Its distance to the very centre of Amsterdam (Dam) is 23 km and about half an hour in a car, and the distance between the proposed house and the local Bloemendaal train station is less than 500m, on the train line to close-by Haarlem. As a matter of fact, although situated in the immediate vicinity of Amsterdam, Bloemendaal has dunes, woods, excellent cycling and walking trails in mostly birch wood and marshy area under the protection of the National Park Zuid-Kennemerland.
